visit to changi prison

as expected, it is a strict place. like duh.. its like if informations or minutes wasnt being sent to the officers before our arrival, i am sure we cant go in. there were like some mini commotion before being able to enter to Cluster A.
anyhow, after going in. we were brought to A4 by the officers. from there, two in-mates were chosen to bring us ard and intro us the place, told us the different phases they have to go through inside. I have to admit that their presentation skills and confidence level were up to standard. they presented so well that i think some of us are not as good. *thumbs up

more to come, some IT trainers who are also in-mates presented a powerpoint presentation to the grp of us. i was impressed by their work. I feel that some of the work they mentioned, i dont even know how to go about doing it. as usual, their presentation skills were good! having to present infront of a grp of strangers frm outside, i think its not quite easy. but they did a very good job(:

after all the orientation in the "ward", the officer told us more about the system and fareah(i dont know how to spell) told us about her job scope as a consultant/aftercare officer(which ever come first) and ended with the DOs and DONTs during the 7 sessions we are gng to have.

this was an eye opening experience. i dont think i will have a chance to visit the place if isnt for this module. besides the fact if i get sentenced inside, which i dont hope will happen. ha.

anw, till then.

a really enjoyable trip!

-lesson learnt: DONT STEROTYPE THEM! not all are bad and violence and blah blah...
