let the fun begins!
the first step can be the hardest…we had our first lesson with the guys and surprisingly attendance was the same like the previous week but just that got new faces. count ourselves lucky cuz if there are 21 people as planned, we might have a teeny-weeny problem. there are not enough computers to go around with. and some have to resort using our laptops to do their work. and having 3 big grown size men to share 2 computers can be a problem in terms of attention span and also constraint of spaces. and to add to our woes, some of the computers are downright problematic!! eargh!! thus you can say it’s a blessing in disguise to have 16 people in attendance...
session 1 was handled by me, yan ping and joyce. we practice democracy and thus we are in charge of session 1 and also the oncoming session 4. yup, democracy is certainly practice in the wil team! hahaha...
i am please to say that session 1 went quite smoothly and more interactive as compared to the ice breaking session we had the week before. the atmosphere in the lab was definitely a fun one. our nervous streaks didnt show at all, and it was as if the thick block of ice between them and us has been melted. we are all like conversing like long-time friends, joking around and basically having fun. its comforting to know that they are trying to participate in class even though some of them are kinda cant be bothered by everything. hmm.. kinda reminds me of myself. oops!
the disease of nervousness infected me whole...
when it comes to my turn to teach the class, i guess kinda screwed it up. was really nervous throughout my whole presentation and keep stuttering my lines and talked like a choo choo train. after years and years of presenting in front of people, be it for oral com or mwa, i still never managed to get over my stage fright. darn!! help anyone??
on the whole, i guess everything went better than the previous week. oh wait, i already said that!
yours truly

the work the guys are doing
